Cadence took down the figure and it appears to be her father! Dorian was alive but cursed by The NecroDancer. When she was getting closer to the bottom, a suspicious figure with a bell and mallet appeared in front of her. The NecroDancer returned inside the crypt. The NecroDancer stole her heart and cursed her to be bound to the rhythm of the music. While she was unconscious, The NecroDancer appeared in front of her. Unfortunately, the entrance to the crypt collapsed and she fell, bumped her head on a rock and fainted. Cadence left the house to find her father. Cadence investigated Dorian's notes and finally found out where the artifact was. Cadence and Eli could not stop him, and he never came back.

One day, Dorian left the house to find the artifact. Melody died when her little daughter Cadence was seven years old.
